It seems every week there is talk about a new social media app. The advent goal for these apps were to keep people connected and size down the Internet to be a small central hub to easily control what people say and how they say it, and it works great! The number of registered users in just the first week alone has reached over 50 million and is expected to reach 5 million by next month. The reason for the sudden influx of users on this new app is most likely due to the dissatisfaction of the social media landscape – apps like BirdNest and BoxTube have been under fire this past year for their questionable moderation as a result of new management, people want a safer place to ruin their lives on.
